This was such a great wedding! I just love René and Steve and was so excited to work with them. They had a lovely wedding (with the help of wedding planner extraordinaire Christina Gillon) at the Wayside Inn in Sudbury, MA. It’s a special spot to the couple as Steve is originally from Sudbury. René totally embraced that and their wedding took on a Historic New England theme. The couple got ready in the two original rooms at the inn and had a beautiful first look in the garden. All the formals were taken right on the gorgeous property (how could you not) and in the open field across the street. As guests walked from the Wayside to the Martha Mary Chapel, René awaited her horse-drawn carriage. The ceremony was fantastic. The couple giggled all the way through! As guests exited the ceremony, they were greeted by a fife and drum corps to escort them back to the inn. It was a great day and I’m so happy to share some of my favorite images from the day.
René was so calm and happy getting ready. Check out that fabulous smile!
René struggled with her “something blue” tradition. She finally went with a wild blue streak in the back of her hair. It goes perfectly with her “anything goes” personality! Formals were a ton of fun under skies threatening thunder showers. Thankfully, the rain held off during all the important parts of the day.
I loved how close the Martha Mary Chapel was. It made the horse and carriage a perfect option.
Steve and René’s ceremony was short and sweet and full of smiles and laughter.
The walk back with the fife and drum corps was total New England charm. Guests loved it!
The celebration followed the theme of the day. Easy, fun and meaningful.
