Samantha and Jonathan’s Wedding – Seaport Hotel, Boston

Samantha and Jonathan are a fun and easy couple.  I knew we were going to have a blast on their wedding day!  Their wedding was all about friends, family and a good time.  I arrived at Seaport Hotel, where Sam was getting ready and calm as a cucumber.  I was in love with her gorgeous, lace, fitted wedding gown.  When I mentioned how much I loved the detail she told me how she had always assumed she’d choose a big, full ballgown for her wedding.  But, when she tried this one on, it was just perfect.  She was right!  It fit like a glove and looked just dreamy!

Their first look was outside on the upper level of the Seaport World Trade Center in front of the iconic Boston City Skyline.  After some gorgeous garden family photos and wedding party photos by the World Trade Center arches, I took the couple to the street.  Samantha and Jonathan are all about the water, so I knew we’d be doing photos by the Seaport District’s waterfront.

Both the ceremony and reception were in Seaport’s elegant Plaza Ballroom which was enhanced with colorful up-lighting and gorgeous pin lit centerpieces of whites and pinks.  The ballroom was gorgeous, but the main attraction was the fabulous white dance floor which was packed all evening!  Here are some of my favorite images from the day.

As Samantha put it, her parents are her whole life!  It was so lovely when she took a special moment with each of them to tell them how important they were to her.

I couldn’t believe our luck with the weather that day.  It seems it may have been the only nice day this Spring!  We had a beautiful, sunny day to show off the gorgeous Boston skyline and the Seaport World Trade Center arches.

The ceremony was against the windows in the ballroom.  The flowers on the Chuppah were gorgeous and the nieces and nephews were adorable!  Samantha and Jonathan didn’t stop smiling the entire ceremony…except during the procession.  Do you catch that small tear in Jonathan’s eye as Samantha walked down the aisle?

During the cocktail hour in the Plaza Gardens, I took the opportunity to shoot details in the ballroom.  Samantha and Jonathan took full advantage of the neutral tones in the Plaza Ballroom.  It’s one of the few Boston hotel ballrooms where you can get away with those beautiful pastel colors.  Check the out wedding cake topper.  It’s one of the cutest I’ve ever seen!

Wedding formalities were wonderful.  Samantha and Jonathan were beaming as they entered the ballroom for their first dance.  The first dance was followed by an epic hora (check out Sam’s parents high five in mid air!).  The wedding toasts were funny and touching at the same time.

The lighting in the ballroom changed for dancing from an elegant amber to a fabulous blue and pink.  Once the dancefloor opened, there was no stopping guests.  They had a blast!

In true Seaport fashion, I was thrilled to sneak out for some evening wedding formals against the twinkling lights of Boston.
