Creating the Perfect Spring Wedding

Spring is a magical time, especially in Boston. Now that we can say goodbye to the bitter cold and slip into lighter, vibrant clothing. Couples often choose to get married in the spring as the weather is warmer, the flowers are blooming and we aren’t exhausted by heat waves.

Let’s explore ways to create a picture-perfect wedding. Don’t forget, if you need a photographer for your Boston wedding, contact Nikki Cole at 617.846.3314.

Go Green

It’s the spring! Enjoy the outdoors, have a night under the starts or set up a whimsical tent in a field. Incorporating natural elements such as wood and stone for your table setting is soothing. Adding some green elements also creates a beautiful “undone” style.

Rustic Themed

The barn themed wedding has certainly been trending in recent years, particularly in the spring. Whether you’re using an older barn filled with original architecture or a newly built barn, a rustic themed wedding is filled with charm.

Outdoor Wedding

With flowers in bloom, spring is the perfect time to have a wedding in Boston. Celebrate your wedding at a park, vineyard, ranch or garden. Explore the outdoors as the scenery will add a natural elegance to your special day.

Sophisticated Bouquets

Poppies & Posies create a sophisticated bouquet as well as a Cotton-and-Craspedia bouquets. Cotton has been influencing bouquets more and more as it’s versatile and works well for both spring and winter weddings. For those of you on a strict budget, have the bridesmaids carry single-bloom bouquets.

Soft Tablescape

For a softer tablescape, include pale sage, mint as well as peach and gold. Add a silk runner and candles with some flowers to create a gentle air to the table.

Don’t Forget About a Tent!

Although an outdoor wedding can be absolutely breathtaking, Boston weather is often unpredictable. If you’re having an April wedding, you must prepare for rain which means, make a plan B. There are gorgeous tents that you use purchase and install a heater so everyone stays nice and toasty.
