Brittany + Michael’s Cape Cod Wedding

Brittany and Michael wanted a wedding that reflected them and their relationship. They found a location that embodied some of their favorite things. The New Seabury Country Club brought together Brittany’s love of the ocean and Michael’s love of golf! Of course, the celebration was filled with the friends and family they both love. And what a celebration it was! This crowd likes to dance! It was a blast to capture. Congratulations Brittany and Michael!

Deb + Kevin’s Elegant Ocean Side Wedding

Deb and Kevin’s wedding was a photographer’s dream! It was filled with splendid colors and textures from the lace in Deb’s dress and the beautiful table cloths to the sparkle of the crystal in the centerpieces and Deb’s jewelery. The beautiful blue ocean contrasted with the green sea grass. But most importantly, there was genuine love and happiness everywhere I looked! It was a true joy to shoot their wedding.

Laura + Mark’s Cape Cod Wedding at Coonamessett Inn

Laura is a good friend and former colleague. So when she approached me to photograph her wedding at the lovely Coonamessett Inn, I was thrilled! But Mark and Laura are not my typical client. They did not want a lot of photography. They only wanted three hours of coverage (and I actually had to talk her into that third hour). “I just want a few nice pictures Nikki,” she said. Well, I adore Laura. So that’s what I did! And I’m so glad I was a part of the day. Laura and Mark are one of the most genuine, loving and adorable couples I’ve ever met! It was a rainy day. But that didn’t stop us from heading out and playing in the rain. They were total troopers. And I hope you agree Laura. You got a few nice pictures!

Karen & Scott’s Red, White & Blue Wedding

The key to pulling off a beautiful themed wedding is subtlety. Karen & Scott planned their Independence Day wedding in perfect style! There were lovely red, white and blue touches throughout the day without taking over the entire room. Their first dance “Take My Breath Away” by Berlin (that’s right, from Top Gun) was a perfect nod to Scott’s Navy background. Scott and his groomsmen even pulled off a fabulous (if not entirely in tune) rendition of “You’ve Lost that Loving Feeling.” It was a blast! Bride’s and groom’s to be, take some notes from this fun and classy themed wedding!

Best of 2012!

What a year it has been! As I reflect on the past year, I see how lucky I’ve been to have worked with such lovely and unique people. My job has taken me to beautiful locations and has introduced me to some truly wonderful people. I’ve had such a difficult time choosing my favorite images of 2012…which you’ll see…as there are many! I’ve had the opportunity to witness and capture some really special and one of a kind moments. I’m so pleased to be able to share some of my favorites. The engagement session can be an important part of my job. And certainly one of the most fun! It’s my first opportunity to really spend some time with my clients. I learn about their relationships, personalities and styles. And my clients learn what it’s like to be photographed. I always ask my clients to choose a location that is special to them and speaks to their relationship. Kristen & Ryan’s Cape Cod Wedding

Kristen & Ryan were so much fun to work with! They were an easy and happy couple who were good sports about photography (even though Ryan like to PRETEND he didn’t enjoy getting his photo taken…we’re totally BFF’s now!). And they had to be good sports. It just happened to be the windiest day of the season! But that didn’t stop us from heading to Craigville Beach where they grew up spending summers, and taking some beautiful images of the two of them. After some more wind blown wedding party photos, Kristen and Ryan had a beautiful ceremony at Saint Andrews by the Sea where we had another interesting photo situation. Photography is not allowed at all inside the chapel. So all the images you see of this ceremony were taken outside the chapel through a door they were kind enough to leave open! That ended our photo madness. We were off to celebrate at the Hyannisport Club. The reception was beautifully decorated with subtle seaside touches (I love their place card table!). Kasandra & Don’s Cape Cod Wedding at Ocean Edge Resort

There are so many reasons I loved photographing Kasandra & Don’s wedding! Let’s start with the most important thing. They are so in love! You have to see the way Don looked at Kasandra throughout the evening. It was so endearing! Beyond that, they had a beautiful Greek ceremony at Saint George’s church in Centerville. I love Greek ceremonies. They are visually stunning and full of meaning (and they repeat everything three times so I get lots of chances to take the perfect photo!). Then, we all headed to the beach for wedding party photos. It was a gorgeous day for beach photos with a beautiful blue sky! Finally, we were off to the reception at Cape Cod’s Ocean Edge Resort where Kasandra included perfect little Cape Cod touches like sand dollar place cards and blue hydrangea centerpieces. It was lovely! Kasandra and Don, I hope you enjoy your wedding photos as much as I loved taking them!
