Jessica + Eric’s Romantic Winter Wedding in Boston’s Seaport District

You know I just love it when I have the chance to work with several clients in a tight group of friends. After the second or third wedding, I start to feel like one of the girls! Jessica and Eric’s wedding was like that. I had three former clients and one future client (and one current client of course!) in the same ballroom. I had as much fun as the guests! Jessica and Eric’s wedding was an elegant affair at the beautiful Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel. After seeing them at previous affairs and their engagement shoot, I felt like a good friend rather than a photographer. They were even brave enough to spend some time with me outdoors in the cold but beautiful Boston Seaport District. Thank you for a wonderful close to my 2014 wedding season Jessica and Eric! It was perfect!

Rachel + Jared’s Elegant Cambridge Wedding

If I went around the ballroom and asked their wedding guests to describe Rachel and Jared in one word, I would get some interesting responses for sure! But top on the list would be FUN. Rachel and Jared’s wedding day was filled with laughter, humor, joy and most of all fun. There was also a healthy dose of bling thrown in compliments of Rachel! Check out her shoes and jewelry! The ceremony and reception overlooked the beautiful Boston city skyline from the ballroom at the Royal Sonesta Hotel. But the twinkling of the city lights was nothing compared to the twinkle in Rachel and Jared’s eyes!

Natalie + Chris’ Boston Marriott Long Wharf Wedding

This season has been filled with the weddings of siblings of former clients. And that’s such a compliment! I remember Natalie’s mom telling me at the end of her brother’s wedding that she had a daughter who would be getting engaged soon and I could expect a call. I was so excited to see the Drummy family again! Now, no bride wants rain on her wedding day. But they normally get past bad weather knowing they are about to married to the love of their life. Natalie was so excited, I don’t even think she noticed it was raining! We didn’t have a chance to sneak out for a single outdoor photo. And it didn’t matter one bit! They were both absolutely on cloud nine all evening.

Dana + Brendan’s Fall Wedding in Gloucester

Dana and Brendan have the sweetest love story. They have been dating since Dana was 15. They are first loves! So needless to say, this wedding has been a long time coming. And they weren’t going to let a little rain (OK, a lot of rain) get in their way! We still got some gorgeous outdoor photos and even a bit of foliage for their Fall and Pumpkin themed wedding. It was a fabulous celebration at Gloucester’s Cruiseport. What a great night!

Brittany + Michael’s Cape Cod Wedding

Brittany and Michael wanted a wedding that reflected them and their relationship. They found a location that embodied some of their favorite things. The New Seabury Country Club brought together Brittany’s love of the ocean and Michael’s love of golf! Of course, the celebration was filled with the friends and family they both love. And what a celebration it was! This crowd likes to dance! It was a blast to capture. Congratulations Brittany and Michael!

Andrea + Dan’s Seaside Gloucester Wedding

Adorable alert! My favorite moment from Andrea and Dan’s wedding was walking out to the pier to do some dusk photos. Out of nowhere, Dan announces, “Nikki, I think this is the happiest I’ve ever been!” I just about melted right there! Andrea and Dan are such a lovely couple. They’re funny, interesting, kind and a blast to be around! They had a beautiful ocean side wedding at Cruiseport in Gloucester. The location is wonderful as it’s super close to one of my favorite beaches for photos. And we got a glorious day! Congratulations Andrea and Dan. Thanks for letting me tag along on your wedding day!

Deb + Kevin’s Elegant Ocean Side Wedding

Deb and Kevin’s wedding was a photographer’s dream! It was filled with splendid colors and textures from the lace in Deb’s dress and the beautiful table cloths to the sparkle of the crystal in the centerpieces and Deb’s jewelery. The beautiful blue ocean contrasted with the green sea grass. But most importantly, there was genuine love and happiness everywhere I looked! It was a true joy to shoot their wedding.

Meg + Mike’s Elegant Boston Wedding at The State Room

Meg and Mike sprinkled their love of Boston throughout their wedding day. There were little hidden nuggets like Meg’s Boston Red Sox garter. And obvious nods like the table numbers with the city skyline. The photos took on the same theme. I loved capturing their images among the tall buildings and lovely parks of Boston. Of course, what a better spot to celebrate the Boston city skyline than the Great Room of The State Room Boston. The view is breathtaking and was the perfect backdrop for Meg and Mike’s elegant celebration.

Sam + Rose’s B’nai Mitzvah at the New England Aquarium

Sam + Rose are two sweet, smart, goofy, engaging and all around wonderful people! We met on Thursday for their B’nai Mitzvah rehearsal and spent some quite time shooting with just the family. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them and getting to know their unique and truly lovable personalities. Then, on to the celebration Saturday evening at the New England Aquarium. What a perfect spot for a Mitzvah! And the rare (but much welcome) Spring weather made it perfect for an evening in their waterfront tent. Enjoy your slide show Sam and Rose. Rozzie + Ben’s Winter Wedding

Through my many years of wedding experience, I have learned the details that make a wedding truly special and memorable have nothing to do with money. The details that are special about your wedding day come from your history, your traditions, your relationship with your partner and your loved ones. Rozzie + Ben’s wedding at the Hilton Boston Logan was certainly elegant and quite lavish. But the emotion and tradition I captured that day trumped all else. Rozzie + Ben had a very traditional Jewish wedding complete with a Tisch and Bedeken. Along with the Ketubah signing, these three beautiful and meaningful ceremonies marry a couple before the actual ceremony. I’m so excited to share their story with you!
