Corinne and Tyler – Hellenic Center, Ipswich, Massachusetts

My little girl is all grown up!  I remember many years ago moving into my new home in my dream neighborhood.  I was lucky enough to move across the street from a family whose daughter was in photography school.  Instant intern!  In the past almost decade, I’ve seen her graduate, photograph her first wedding, and create a wonderful business.  So much has changed.  But the one constant in her life, was Tyler.  We always knew Tyler and Corinne were going to be married.  Corrine and I have been planning the wedding almost as long as we’ve known each other.  And of course, wild horses couldn’t stop me from photographing it.  We spent the entire day at the beautiful Hellenic Center.  Here are some of my favorite images from the day.   Watching Cori get ready for her wedding was absolutely surreal.  She was just stunning.  Watching the bridesmaids see her for the first time was so fun!  The muted color palate she chose for the girls was gorgeous. The look on Tyler’s face when he first saw Corinne was priceless.  And it was a gorgeous day for outdoor photos in Ipswich. The ceremony was in the back of the Hellenic […]

Julie and Gabi – Temple Emanuel, Newton, Massachusetts

Ah Julie and Gabi!!!!  What an amazing day.  Ten hours of nonstop fabulous photography.  Julie and Gabi started the day getting ready at the Boston Marriott in Newton where the weather held off just long enough to get some gorgeous outdoor wedding party photos.  Then, we headed to Temple Emanuel for an epic Jewish wedding celebration.  Here are some of my favorite photos from the day!   Julie and Gabi are proud, self-proclaimed geeks.  In other words, their my people.  So it was no surprise that we started the day announcing which Harry Potter house everyone belonged to.  One of the first geek-tastic elements of the day was Gabi’s Rebel Alliance pin on his lapel.   With the threat of thunder showers, we were able to pull off some gorgeous, outdoor photos on the banks of the Charles River.  Gabi prepared a special note for Julie in a private moment.  Whatever he said, it hit the mark!   In traditional Jewish Weddings, the cocktail hour happens prior to the Temple ceremony.  Three very important ceremonies happen.  The Tisch, the Bedeken and the Ketubah signing.  It’s a time for friends and family to congratulate, celebrate and offer words of advice to […]

Caitlin and Brodie – Concord Country Club, Massachusetts

Caitlin and Brodie’s wedding day could not have been more perfect!  They started the day getting ready in family homes.  Caitlin in her Aunt’s home and Brodie in his parent’s home.  The ceremony at Saint Mary’s of the Assumption was even more special as it was officiated by Caitlin’s Uncle.  It was a gorgeous day for formal family and wedding party photos at the Old North Bridge in Concord.  And we finished the day with a spectacular celebration at the Concord Country Club.  Here are some of my favorite images from the day.   Caitlin’s Aunt’s house was the perfect spot for her to get ready.  It was almost as if she chose her home’s decor to match Caitlin’s wedding.  The first person I saw when I walked upstairs was Caitlin’s mom wearing a beautiful fascinator on her head.  I instantly knew it was going to be a great day! Caitlin and Brodie’s ceremony was one of the most fun I’ve photographed.  If Caitlin’s Uncle decided to not be a priest, he could easily be a stand up comedian.  As funny as he was, he always made sure the ceremony was about Caitlin and Brodie.  It was wonderful! It was […]

Kathryn and Augastin

Kathryn and Augastin had a gorgeous wedding day!  It was a perfect day in the Seaport when we started getting ready.  We started at the Seaport Hotel and were driven by bus to the ceremony at Saint Cecilia’s Church in Boston.  The two enjoyed a beautiful ceremony which included some lovely Indian traditions.  After the ceremony, we stopped at the Boston Waterfront for some wedding party photos.  Family portraits were in the Plaza Garden at the Seaport Hotel.  And, of course, we caught some fabulous images overlooking the Boston skyline and the World Trade Center arches.  The celebration was in the Plaza Ballroom of the Seaport Hotel which boasts gorgeous high ceilings and water views.  Here are some of my favorite images from the day.   Kathryn and Augastin swapped gifts and cards prior to the ceremony.  It was touching watching them read these special messages before walking down the aisle.   Saint Cecilia’s Church is truly beautiful .  I love working there! It was a gorgeous day on the waterfront.  Kathryn and Augastin were blessed with lots of beloved friends.  So we took their big wedding party for a walk behind the courthouse.  I think they loved having some […]

Benjamin’s Bar Mitzvah – Massachusetts Horticultural Society

Ben’s Bar Mitzvah was an absolute blast!  He is a truly great kid and a fantastic hockey player.  Both the service and the celebration were held at the Massachusetts Horticultural Society in the Gardens at Elm Bank.  The gardens were a gorgeous setting for family portraits.  And the inside was transformed into a hockey lover’s paradise!  Here are some of my favorite images from the day.   Spring was just beginning in the Gardens at Elm Bank.  It was a beautiful (if a bit windy) early spring day.  And Ben was a real trooper during the formal photos.  He has a great smile and a quiet, yet confident manor. The service was held in a tent on the property.  Ben did a great job!  There is so much work that goes into preparing for your Bar Mitzvah.  And you could see just how much the Rabbi respected Ben’s hard work and enjoyed working with him. The celebration space was totally over the top.  The room was decked in Ben’s Briuns-esq logo.  The specialty white dance floor was turned into a hockey rink.  And each kid had their own cubby to stash their things…just like you would at the rink!  I […]

Ben’s Bar Mitzvah – ICON Nightclub, Boston

Ben’s Bar Mitzvah was an absolute blast!  He’s a great kid and he wanted the party to be more about his friends and family than about himself.  So they had a huge party at a fabulous nightclub in Boston called ICON.  It was a great opportunity to let loose after he had done so well during the service.  His hard work really paid off!  Here are some of my favorite images from the day.   We started the day at Temple Isreal in Boston.  As is tradition, photography was not allowed during the service.  But they had a lovely pre-service in the light filled atrium of the temple.  It was wonderful to photograph.      After the service, we were able to sneak outside the temple for some formal family photos.  It was a beautiful Spring day!  We loved taking advantage of the gorgeous weather. The party couldn’t have been more fun!  The DJ and dancers managed to keep the kids playing games and dancing like super stars while the adults mixed it up in a separate bar. The adults were asked to join the kids for some very special speeches.  When the adults joined the kids on the dance floor, […]

Alexandra and Mark – Courtyard Marriott, Boston

When done well, Winter Weddings in Boston can be incredibly elegant.  And since Alexandra works in the business, she knows how to do it!  Alexandra and Mark’s decor reflected the coziness of your favorite winter wrap and the sparkle of fresh snow without overdoing the theme.  It was so fun to photograph!  We started the day getting ready at the Courtyard Marriott in downtown Boston.  The wedding party braved the winter weather for a first look and formal wedding photos at the Boston Public Garden.  They were total troopers!  Then we all headed back to the elegant Boston hotel for a ceremony and gorgeous celebration.  Below, are some of my favorite images from the wedding day.   Alexandra and her wedding party had a ball getting ready for the big day.  Alexandra chose to skip the chilly matching silk robes and instead opted for cozy flannel shirts.  Perfect for February!  Her eyes sparkled as she put her dress on.  I’m in love with all the detail in her dress!  As has become the tradition, Alexandra and Mark traded cards prior to the first look.  Mark had too many words for the love of his life and needed a full page […]

Shereen and Bobby – Fifteen Beacon Hotel, Boston

Small, intimate weddings are a real pleasure to photograph.  It is an honor to part of a small group of people chosen to witness a couple’s marriage.  Shereen and Bobby planned their celebration to include their children and Shereen’s father.  Eight people total, including the bride and groom!  They got ready and shared a first look and family photos at Fifteen Beacon Hotel.  Then, we proceeded to the private wine cellar at the hotel’s restaurant, Mooo.  After the ceremony, the couple shared a first dance and some toasts prior to sitting for an amazing dinner.  Here are some of my favorite images from the day.   Shereen has three gorgeous daughters and Bobby has two wonderful sons…who happen to be an absolute riot…and total hams.  I can’t remember the last time I laughed this much photographing a groom getting ready! The first look and formal photos took place in Fifteen Beacon’s beautiful lobby.  I couldn’t resist taking the gorgeous couple for a ride in the classic elevator for some fun photos.  I love the way they came out! Before the formal wedding ceremony, the family went back to their suite to sign the traditional Jewish marriage contract called the ketubah.  […]

Pamela and Jason – Blue Hills Country Club, Massachusetts

New Year’s Eve weddings make an already fabulous celebration, epic.  The energy and anticipation is always just a bit more heightened.  I was thrilled to ring in this New Year with Pam and Jason!  I felt like I was around my own friends and family.  In addition to Pam and Jason, I had no fewer than three former couples (including Jason’s sister) and one future couple in the room.  And I adored each one of them.  It was so much fun!  We spent the entire day at the Blue Hills Country Club.  Pam and Jason totally transformed the place.  Here are a few of my favorite images from the day.   Pam and Jason are members at Blue Hills.  They were so happy to spend their wedding day at a location that meant so much to them.  Pam shared a lovey first look with her dad before seeing Jason. Pam and Jason’s first look was in their ceremony space in front of the gorgeous Chuppah created by Designing Images.  I absolutely loved the simple elegance of it.  Both bride and groom shed a tear during the first look and it was so sweet! After a private Tisch, Bedeken and Ketubah […]

Sydney’s Bat Mitzvah – The Verve, Natick, Massachusetts

Sydney is smart, sassy, and simply spectacular!  See what I did there.  I had so much fun working with Sydney and her family.  They hosted a crazy fun Bat Mitzvah at the Crowne Plaza.  The ceremony and celebration were right at the hotel.  So I had the treat of being able to capture the entire event.  Here are some of my favorite images from the day. We started the evening with some formal photos of Sydney at the hotel.  The Crowne Plaza is a cool spot with all sorts of character in the public spaces.  We took advantage of all of it!  Sydney had me (quite literally) running all around the hotel to find some funky little niches. Sydney did an excellent job during the Bat Mitzvah ceremony.  I was so impressed with her poise and ease.  She seemed to actually have fun on stage! Sydney’s style was really evident when the ballroom doors were opened.  The room was decked in sparking lights, pink sequin table runners, white and light pink floral centerpieces and a fabulous pink stage.  It looked gorgeous!  Sydney was introduced into that fabulous room and went right into an amazing hora. Kids and adults alike played […]
