Noa’s Bat Mitzvah – Brae Burn Country Club, Wellesley

Noa is a very special girl and I was so honored to spend the day with her on her Bat Mitzvah celebration.  Noa exemplified the spirit behind the Bat Mitzvah by sharing her celebration with her friend Olivia.  The two friends combined the ceremony and party with both sets of friends and family.  The combination made for a fabulous celebration!  We started the day at Temple Beth Elohim for formal family portraits.  After the ceremony, friends and family celebrated with the two girls at Brae Burn Country Club.  Here are some of my favorite images from the day.   Noa and Olivia made sure to include both families in some combined family photos.  Everyone was so excited to celebrate the two girls!  Noa also included some of her closest girlfriends along with their moms for some “not-so-formal” photos. Brae Burn was decorated with a fabulous beach theme in sand and blue colors.  The kids had a special beach cabana room just for them.  The blue and white themed candy table was gorgeous.  And I loved the surf board Noa had for friends to sign! The girls were introduced into the party together and combined all of their formalities from the […]

Tamara and Chris

I first fell in love with Tamara and Chris during our Engagement Session when we photographed around Boston and finished our day playing video games.  I was really looking forward to spending more time with them on their wedding day.  We started the day getting ready at my home away from home, Seaport Hotel in Boston.  Guests hoped on buses to a beautiful ceremony at Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Boston on Newbury Street.  After the ceremony, guests returned to the Seaport Lighthouse for a fabulous celebration.  Here are some of my favorite images from the day.   Tamara started her day getting ready with family.  She, her mother, cousin and aunt filled the room with joy and anticipation.  Tamara wore a bracelet of her mother’s pinned to her bouquet to keep her close. Emmanuel Church was just gorgeous.  It was a small chapel which made the ceremony intimate.  But it had gorgeous, high ceilings which gave the ceremony elegance and grandeur. We used the iconic arches of the World Trade Center Boston and the city skyline as our backdrop for formal photos.  It doesn’t get better than that.  Tamara and Chris kept their wedding party small with a best man […]

Holly and John – Granite Links, Quincy, Massachusetts

Holly and John’s wedding was, in one word, FUN!  It was obvious they made a pointed effort to make their wedding celebration exactly what they would enjoy on a night out.  It was filled with games, jokes, laughter and dancing.  We spent the entire day from getting ready to last dance at Granite Links.  It was one of those days where the photos totally reflect the path of the sun.  I love those days.  Here are some of my favorite, fun moments from their wedding day.   We had a blast photographing wedding details around the golf course at Granite Links.  It totally set the tone for the fun about to be had.   Their first look was right on the course.  John’s expression was just priceless.  We also got a fun trip down to the ruins for some gorgeous images. The ceremony overlooked the sun as it began to set.  A good friend of Holly and John’s officiated.  He had them laughing the entire ceremony! The games started during cocktail hour when the couple had arranged a putting contest on the putting green.  The fun and funky decor also helped set the tone. Before dinner, we got  a chance […]

Julia and Tom – Prowse Farm, Canton, Massachusetts

I had the honor of shooting Julia’s sister’s wedding years ago.  It was such a lovely wedding that her images remain on my website today.  Needless to say, I was thrilled to be included when Julia got in touch for her wedding.  And it did not disappoint!  Julia got ready at her family home surrounded by beloved family and friends…both human and furry.  After a gorgeous church wedding ceremony, guests had a break while we drove to get some fabulous city skyline photos in East Boston.  We all met back up at Prowse Farm for a fabulous tent wedding.  Happily, the weather cooperated for a lovely evening of lawn games and dining al fresco!  Here are some of my favorite photos from the day.   Julia wanted to be sure the smallest among her family were included in her day.  I was so happy to get some special photos with the children in the wedding party and her beloved furry friends.  Julia was totally fearless letting them all crawl over her!  I love it when brides and grooms decide to include their pets in the wedding day! I love the special moment Julia and her mom got while walking to […]

Meghan and Steven – Beauport Hotel, Gloucester, MA

Meghan and Steven were so much fun, I was sad to see the night end!  I had the honor to spend two days with this happy couple, their family and friends and I loved every minute.  The couple started their festivities with an amazing lobster bake rehearsal dinner at Eastern Point Yacht Club in Gloucester and I was honored to be able to capture it.  It was a gorgeous night and set the tone perfectly for the weekend.  On the wedding day, we started at the Beauport Hotel to get ready.  The weather was a bit daunting with rain, but Meghan and Steven hardly noticed.  We captured a first look on the covered balcony of the ballroom and headed to the Saint Anthony by the Sea Chapel for a gorgeous wedding ceremony.  As luck would have it, the weather cleared right after the ceremony.  Just in time for us to catch a few beautiful images on the beach before heading back to the Beauport Hotel for a fabulous party.  Here are some of my favorite images from the day.   There were beautiful views all around at the Eastern Point Yacht Club and as much lobster as you could eat! […]

Acileide and Ed – Boston Harbor Hotel, Boston, Massachusetts

When I first met Acileide and Ed, Ed had me laughing the entire appointment!  They are a great couple.  I got the impression they were thrilled to be married to one and other, but refused to take the actual wedding too seriously.  It was truly about a celebration of life and love.  Acileide is from Brazil, which I think makes you automatically fabulous!  I had a blast photographing her getting ready at the Boston Harbor Hotel.  The couple enjoyed a first look right under the iconic arches of Rowes Wharf.  We headed to the Greenway for formal photos and returned to the hotel for their wedding ceremony and reception.  It was a gorgeous summer day on Boston Harbor and a fabulous time was had by all!  Here are some of my favorite photos from their wedding day.   I walked into Acileide’s suite at the Boston Harbor Hotel and was immediately surrounded by gorgeous Brazilian women!  There was glamor at every turn.  I am absolutely obsessed with Acileide’s wedding shoes! Ed drove his Rolls Royce under the arches for some formal photos.  It was such a treat!  But the gorgeous car couldn’t hold a candle to Acileide. The ceremony was […]

Nicole and James – The Palm Restaurant, Boston, Massachusetts

I love photographing smaller and more intimate weddings in Boston.  They somehow feel more relaxed and fun.  I had a blast spending the day with this happy wedding couple.  We started the day with formal photos and a very intimate wedding ceremony in Post Office Square.  Then, guests walked the few blocks from the park to The Palm Restaurant to meet more guests for a fabulous meal.  Those who were sill ready to party (rather than being in an understandable food coma!) walked a few more blocks to the Harborside Lounge on State Street.  Here are some of my favorite photos from the day.   It was a gorgeous summer day in Post Office Square for formal photos.  It’s a great area for wedding photography because you can get so many different backgrounds.  You have the beautiful green park right next to the wonderful architecture of the city.   Only 30 guests attended the ceremony which made it super special.  The archway in the park made for a perfect aisle for Nicole and her dad. It was a lovely walk to The Palm where the guest list increased to 80 guests.  Still pretty intimate for Boston wedding standards!  Guests enjoyed […]

Kaitlyn and Martin – Seaport Hotel, Boston, Massachusetts

Kaitlyn and Martin are a fantastic couple.  They were both so relaxed all day.  It made for a wonderful wedding day!  We started the day getting ready at my home away from home, Seaport Hotel.  The ceremony was in the beautiful Gate of Heaven Church in South Boston.  After a lovely wedding ceremony (with some surprise singing from the priest), guests were transported back to the Seaport Hotel for dinner and dancing.  The weather threatened to rain all day and we were so lucky to be able to sneak outside for all our photos!  And the resulting fog, made for super romantic images.  Here are a few of my favorite images from the day.   Kaitlyn had a gorgeous suite to get ready for her wedding.  And I love the color of the bridesmaids dresses.  They were perfect for a late spring / early summer wedding!   I absolutely love the Gate of Heaven Church.  The high ceilings and stunning architecture are amazing photo taking!  And check out Marty hold back tears as his gorgeous bride walks down the aisle. The weather held out long enough for us to stop at the Court House for some fabulous waterfront photos.  Then […]

Whitney and Jonathan – Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel

Whitney and Jonathan are totally my type of clients!  They have great taste and created a beautiful wedding.  But the priority that day was definitely celebrating their families, their friends and their love for each other.  I absolutely loved shooting this wedding.  The couple made their wedding day super convenient by getting ready, having the ceremony and reception right at the Renaissance Hotel in the Seaport District in Boston.  We had a first look right on the Harbor Walk and it was a gorgeous day for it.  The Seaport District is perfect for wedding photos.  With just a little bit of walking, we were able to get gorgeous photos on the waterfront, with the city background and in a lovely park.  Here are a few of my favorite photos from the day. Whitney was so calm and easy getting ready for her big day.  And I was in LOVE with her wedding gown.  It was fun and flirty, but totally elegant. The first look was on the Harbor Walk, a place Jonathan and Whitney spend a lot of time.  They could not hold in their emotion during their first look.  Tears sprung up in both their eyes.  Guests looking on […]

Boston Engagement Session

I love shooting in the city!  I love capturing the chemistry of a bride and a groom against the amazing architecture of the city.  I’m tickled when a couple can walk through a crowd of people and look like they’re the only two people on the street.  It’s gorgeous!  I had a fantastic time wondering around Boston taking engagement photos with this gorgeous couple.  Tamara and Chris are both graphic designers and gamers.  We had a great time combining their love of art, design, architecture, gaming and plain old goofing around!  We started on Boyleston Street and slowly made our way toward the Christian Science Center and finished at Jillians in the Fenway.  It was a blast!  Check out a few of my favorite images from this cool Boston engagement session.
